The Senior Compliance Regulations Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that payroll solutions adhere to global tax legislation and compliance requirements. This position focuses on analyzing tax regulations and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of payroll systems. Working closely with a team of experts, the analyst will monitor legislative changes, perform tax simulations, and support the development process to maintain compliance and drive innovation. Qualifications / Skills

Minimum Requirements for Candidates

  • At least five (5) years of experience working within a payroll administration team, focusing on tax compliance and auditing functions.
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax computation, legislative requirements, and their application to software configurations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities with numerical expertise.
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Advanced level of skills in using Macros, formulas, and V-lookups in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of global payroll tax legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in translating tax regulations into technical specifications or software configurations.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with tax authorities and industry experts.
  • Experience in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Law, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software systems and familiarity with software development life cycles.

  • Ability to adapt to changing legislation and regulatory environments quickly and efficiently.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-national environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and follow a robust, established research methodology to ensure continuous compliance with global payroll tax regulations.
  • Adhere to established documentation processes while translating complex tax regulations into precise software configurations, ensuring the payroll software accurately reflects current legislation.
  • Ensure all tax compliance deliverables are of high quality, theoretically accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional tax authorities, in-country experts, and tax advisors to ensure adherence to tax administration guidelines.
  • Monitor existing and emerging legislation, providing clear interpretations and applications for integration into payroll software.
  • Update documentation, artifacts, and software requirements to reflect the impact of new tax legislation.
  • Facilitate information sessions to ensure effective knowledge transfer between the regulations team and the software configuration and development teams.
  • Develop and execute tax computations and scenario simulations to ensure compliance with tax and social tax laws.
  • Conduct audits to validate the correct interpretation and application of legislation within the software, ensuring alignment with in-country best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of compliance requirements in the software.
  • Provide continuous support and guidance to the development team throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, fostering their professional growth and contributing to the overall development of the team and business.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and automate research processes, including exploring and evaluating the potential applications of AI and other technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
