The Contracts Manager holds responsibility for all related contractual issues, correspondences, evaluation, potential orders etc. and ongoing relationships with contractors as well as the management and supervision of a contracts team and the delegating of tasks accordingly. The incumbent is also responsible for financial budget supervision and ensuring the cost-effectiveness and value for money of contracts in conjunction with the Project Controls Manager.
As part of the senior management team, the incumbent holds the responsibility to liaise and coordinate with the Program Director and the rest of the senior management team/peers with all matters related to operational issues required for the success of the program in accordance with the client expectations.
As part of the Head Office team, the incumbent also holds the responsibility of setting, implementing, monitoring, and reporting of all required management reports and KPIs for his department in accordance to the program’s procedures
Qualifications / Skills
Expectations for Ideal Candidates
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering from an internationally recognized university. To be successful at this role, you should have not less than 15 years of experience in and a strong track record of contracts management, contractual documents preparation, contractual commitment analysis, and contractual dispute management. Public sector experience is a plus.
Membership of an internationally recognised contracts management body is preferred.
Fluency in the English and Arabic language is mandatory.
